Designing Your Boys Bedroom to Grow

Shopping for furniture for your boys bedroom can be overwhelming. Boys have some very specific needs. They are hard on furniture and they will grow.

Some considerations to purchasing a bedroom set for your boy or boys might be that of space. Are they sharing a room? Do they need to have private areas? You might decide that loft beds with a dresser and desk for each son would allow them a private area while still sharing the same space.

Loft beds also allow for storage nooks and crannies, some display area and shelving for books. If you provide proper storage space for kids it makes it easier for them to keep their spaces tidy.

You might also consider the quality of furniture you are going to purchase. If your boys are younger you might want to invest in sturdy wooden furniture that will last them through childhood. Nice pieces of wooden furniture can be changed form childish to adult with the changing of bedding accessories.

It is a better investment to purchase quality "bones" for a room and then accessorize as that is less expensive than replacing all of the items every couple of years because they are dated or of such poor quality that they won't last.

Nice piece of well crafted furniture are easier to maintain as well. If cleaned properly they will keep their beauty even after being used by boys.
